Below is a test of English Vocabulary Competency. You are to look through each word in all 6 tables each consist of 100 words of four different level of difficulties. A word is considered known if you understand its prime meanings.
How to calculate your score?
Your score is the average number of words you know from each table multiply by a factor of 360. If the average number of words you know is 35, you get 12,600 points (see example below).
What does my score means?
0 – 5400 points : a school kid’s level of command of English.
5760 – 10,800 points : a lower secondary school children’s level of command of English, able to write simple and short essay.
11,160 – 16,200 points : an upper secondary school children’s level of command of English, able to write fictitious stories.
16,560 – 21,600 points : a college student’s level of command of English.
21,960 – 27,000 points : a university student’s level of command of English.
27,360 – 32,400 points : Excellent and outstanding level of command of English.
more than 32,400 points : Expert Professional Master in English.
Example : Joanne knows 26 words from Table 1, 30 words from Table 2, 22 words from Table 3, 28 words from Table 4, 32 words from Table 5 and 27 words from Table 6. Therefore the average number of words is (26 + 30 + 22 + 28 + 32 + 27) / 6 = 28 words. She scores 28 x 360 = 10,080 points.
