Choosing the Right IPTS (Institut Pengajian Tinggi Swasta, Private Institute of Higher Learning) is Very Important

Be reminded that choosing the right place to further your studies is not an easy task.

• You need to check and understand all the terms and conditions set by the IPTS
• Students are encouraged to (in fact, advised to) visit the IPTS BEFORE accepting the offer
• Do not be influenced by their advertisements ( offer of study loan, scholarship, free laptop etc)

Checklist in choosing the right IPTS :

• IPTS is registered with Ministry of Higher Education
• Course of study is valid
• Course of study is accredited (Information is available in MOA’s website)
• Fee structure is approved by MOHE (Check the fee refund policy)
• Provides adequate facilities and infrastructure
• Course of study is recognized by JPA (information is available in JPA’s website)
• Listed in SETARA ’09 Rating (for University College and University status)
• Listed in MyQUEST 2010/2011 (for college status)
