Everybody loves
holidays. Whether you are a working adult, house wife, student or even
bosses, seriously, deep from the bottom of their heart, when they temporarily
forget about productivity and profits. Malaysia has one of
the highest numbers of public holidays, ranking number seven among the top
ten countries in the world. Public holidays refer to holidays gazetted at
national level, such as religious events (Hari Raya Puasa, Deepavali,
Christmas and Wesak Day etc), new year (1 Jan, Chinese New Year), King's
birthday and independence days. One unique thing is that when the three
largest ethnic groups celebrate their 'New Year' in different days, you no
need to worry about unable to find 'restaurant or eating outlets' during the
celebration days as happens in some countries in the world, Malaysia is 365
days 7/24 hours food stores available! Malaysia also has
many holidays celebrated only in a few states or even in one state. You have
to be aware that the business transaction done today in one state might not
be available in the other state tomorrow. On a particular day, you also can
pay a surprise visit to a friend in a working day state when you are from a
holiday state. |
