When the housing market is plunged into turmoil, property values are dropping fast in an effort to stem the tide of destruction sailing from coast to coast, and smart investors are rubbing their hands together in glee.

During an economical downturn homebuyers just aren't purchasing houses. This inspires distressed homeowners to set their houses out there for much less than they are really worth in an effort to produce a deal which is sufficient to enable them to pay off the financial institution and be free of the mortgage default hanging over their head.
