Computers in the Classroom With the advent of the computer, much progress has been seen in the world today. Computers first made their entrance in the later part of the 20th Century. Gradually, technological innovations brought about better computers that have seeped into all spheres of modern life, together with smartphones. The field of education has gained much from the computer world. In Malaysia, the Education Ministry has a huge budget for ICT. Much time and energy is used for the training of teachers as well as research into teaching methods. Computers have definitely opened doors to better teaching. They compliment teaching in class; they add the extra dimension to a lesson; computers also provide the "technology" to students in the classroom. Many students interviewed state that they enjoy classroom better with the presence of the computer. Teachers are also indulged in multimedia in order to project better presentations in the classroom.
